I am shocked the Hollywood Bowl has security personnel trolling the stands for people holding up iPhones and have the video camera turned on as opposed to just the standard still shot. So many people have photo- and video-ready phones these days, it would be impossible for them to control every person from using it. And there is also the "voice memo" feature that can record good audio quite discretely if one just keeps it in their lap. What a waste of time and money for them to have security people assigned to this type of duty, and at the opportunity cost of no viral effects occurring that you mentioned in your blog post.

I listened to JT in my youth and loved his music, but I've kind of forgotten about him as I've gotten older, so I would have found it useful to hear some of the video you could have shared to have him inspire me again. It might have even compelled me to try to go see him when he comes to my part of the country. That's not going to happen now. It's their loss, as you pointed out.
